Sausage Rolls

Crispy sausage rolls with a cheesy filling, great as a snack and to share.
Prep time: 30 minutes


  • Ready Made Puff Pastry
  • 8 Sausages
  • 1 Large Red Onion
  • 1 Tsp Brown Sugar
  • 3 Tbsp Crucials Brown Sauce
  • Salt & Pepper
  • Egg Wash for Glazing Pastry
  • 50g Grated Cheese


  • Finely dice the red onion, fry in 1 tbsp oil for 5 minutes, sprinkle 1 tsp brown sugar and cook for a further 5 minutes.
  • Remove the sausage meat from the sausage casing, add to a mixing bowl, add cooked onion, brown sauce, salt, pepper and cheese.
  • Roll puff pastry out and cut into two rectangles, add the sausage meat to the centre of both rectangles, egg wash the long side of the pastry and fold in half lengthways crimping the pastry down to ensure it’s sealed.
  • Cut the pastry into 8 bite sized sausage rolls, and cook at 200 for 15 – 20 minutes.
